Charging
Charging where the grid is unreliable
Rural electrification in Zambia is low, which means fast-charger coverage is not the first problem here. The real question is whether the vehicle can be charged overnight at home or on site.
- The onboard charger is single-phase 230 V at 7 kW — an ordinary domestic circuit, not three-phase industrial supply.
- It tolerates wide voltage and frequency variation and will not fault out every time the grid wobbles.
- Paired with solar and storage it charges off-grid, which suits farms, mine sites and rural clinics.
- The pack supports a 30–80% DC fast charge in 28 minutes when connected to a 120 kW or higher DC charger.
